Picket fencing, or palisade fencing, provides a simple, unobtrusive, and effective fencing solution where privacy is less important than safely enclosing your land. Ideal for front gardens; for closing off part of a garden such as a vegetable patch or swimming pool area; or for lining the sides of a pathway, a picket fence comprises decorative vertical posts – the pickets – connected by horizontal wooden bars behind. Traditional wooden picket fencing can be installed with either a round top or pointed top picket design.
